FMFooty vs Sporting Lisbon & FMFooty 'x' Celta Vigo

Part of FMFooty's mission has always been to create opportunities for players to pursue soccer at the highest levels and provide a link for players to pursue opportunities to play, develop, and compete with and against top players, coaches, and clubs in Europe. While it can be difficult to create legitimate connections, we have been working extremely hard to ensure that our academy is up to the standards in Europe and that our players are prepared to compete with top players overseas.

Over the past two weeks, we were able to bring a group over to RC Celta Vigo (La Liga & UEFA Europa League). Nearly 1/3 of our players were asked to train with RC Celta Vigo's 'La Canteria' (their academy teams). This is a huge accomplishment to our players and our philosophy at FMFooty as Celta Vigo has one of the top academies in the world. In their first team (25 players), 18 of them are from their 'Canteria'. This is not a normal number and this is due to Celta's philosophy of 'growing' their players and developing them 'in house'.

In Addition to an amazing training opportunity at Celta Vigo, our players were also able to play 7 games over the past two weeks, with an impressive record of 4 Wins, 1 Draw, and 2 Losses. We were able to expose our players to professional clubs in Europe including CD Moana (Spanish 2nd division side) and Sporting Lisbon (UEFA Champions League and home of Cristiano Ronaldo -- one of the best clubs in the world).

We were able to broaden our contacts in Europe and are In contact with these clubs among others to potentially come out to the United States to work with our players or to organize additional events in Europe for our players.

Our Academy is a core part of our Pro Pathway Program and while we are only 2 years old as a club, we are making some significant strides with player development and providing players legitimate professional opportunities to be seen, evaluated, and scouted by some of Europe's best coaches and clubs.
